Volta Energy Solutions Canada Inc., based at our plant currently under construction in Granby, is a new division of the global leader Solus Advanced Materials Co., Ltd., established in 7 countries worldwide. Our division, targeting the North American market, will manufacture high-end, compact, high-performance copper foil used to increase the driving range of electric vehicles.
YOUR MISSION
As a member of the Quality Team, you will play a critical role in establishing and maintaining the quality standards of our operations. You will help ensure product and process compliance while supporting laboratory activities, production teams, and continuous improvement initiatives.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Coordinate the activities of the physical and chemical laboratories
- Ensure product and process compliance with customer requirements and specifications
- Analyze quality and process data to identify issues and improvement opportunities
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions related to quality concerns and non-conformities
- Provide technical support to production teams in resolving quality-related challenges
- Oversee laboratory equipment maintenance, calibration, and performance
- Participate in internal and external audits and contribute to maintaining quality certifications
- Collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
QUALIFICATION
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control within a manufacturing environment
- Experience in laboratory operations, continuous improvement, and problem-solving
- Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) is an asset
Technical Knowledge / Skills
- Quality and statistic tools (SPC, MSA)
- ISO and IATF 16949 quality standards
- Physical and chemical laboratory testing methods and equipment
- Proficiency with Excel and manufacturing systems (SAP, MES, or similar)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Travel Requirement
- Availability to attend training at our facility in Hungary for a period of 1 to 2 months
